Subject: BANDS 5 ASIDE FOOTBALL LEAGUE – TEAMS WANTED

We are looking to organize a five aside league for any bands interested who play at the Bull & Gate.
The teams can consist of a combination of bands but your team name must reflect both or three (however many) band names. ie a team made up from Six By Seven and Gertrude should be called something like The Gertrude Seven.
Teams will be required to choose a kit colour (tops) and stick with it.
If enough interest is shown the league table, results and fixtures will be published on this site.
The idea would be to stage a selection a fixtures on a night of the week.
Doesn’t matter what standard you are, some will take it more seriously than others (no doubt) it’s all for fun, spectators will be welcome and beers shared by all afterwards.
Venue will be North London, currently negotiating a pitch in N1.
C’mon, we’ll even get a trophy made up for the eventual CHAMPIONS! and a wooden spoon award for the bottom side which we can, maybe, be presented at a special gig at the end of the season.

Hello, Chris from Finlay here. I am certainly game and I am aware of at least tentative interest from some of my band mates. Not sure yet how many we could get so we may have to join forces. I’ll keep you posted.

C’mon! we’ll arrange an indoor pitch if we get going before the weather gets nice again.
We have a few teams so far, not counting the posts on here yet. Amounts to something around the size of the Scottish Premiership at the moment, something around the same talent I’d imagine to.

Combining football with rock and roll-what else do you
want?! Will there be birds as well?!
At least two of us are up from it from The Proles (who by
the way are playing B+G 1st Nov) So would need to
combine with another band.
