All very well and good, but nothing like the old days. (Charles) Exit being shouted off stage by a crazy man enraged by his "devil’s music", early Hefner, Monolux, wonderous Canadian munchkins Melt, Dream City Film Club all fluffy and cute before the sleaze infected their troubled souls and well and truly dragged them down to the gutter, Swelter indie-popping it with the best of them, Motorcade, Oblivious – warbly teenage angst at its finest, Babble, Pure Morning, Autogeddon creating a kind of musical Autogeddon, Aerial Stairs stepping up in a Doors stylee, Gigantic rocking out to the max dining on Lulu’s decaying flesh…. I could go on, and will, but not now.

Rude Mechanicals were great.
Phykick Consultant – Talk about rose tinted spex mate! Aerial Stairs, that’s the funniest thing I’ve heard today and it’s gonna have to be a pretty hilarious week if that’s bettered.
Agree with Exit, early Hefner (we are showing our age!) the Captain Sensiblesk DCFC era, Babble etc. Oblivious are still around in various forms Haywire Sunday and Bell Rock.
Motorcade? There are a fifty bands a week doing that sort of thing better now all over the circuit as we speak! Whatever floats your boat though Mr Consultant.
Remember Custard Gun, Pop Off Tuesday & that bird you shagged from a band called Balloonstick! Those were the days eh mate, lol.
Just a mention to Earnest Cox who played on Friday 4th, class stuff lads and lasses, be seeing you againah soon.

OK maybe Aerial Stairs weren’t at the cutting edge of sonic entertainments, but I’m glad to have caused some jollity. And whatever happened to Balloonstick? The Consultant doesn’t recall any sexual liasioning with such an implement personally – I think you’ve got the wrong man.

Ming Mong – you’re really losing it now.. I don’t recall being implanted with a balloon on a stick or any other long poking device, for that matter. However, I am partial to the odd funny balloon animal, but that is an entirely different matter.
And what about WACT, Sarf London power/punk/pop – they were OK – better than today’s smelly skateboard kids with tattoos. Speaking of which, if you need to get your kids tattooed www.babyink.com is the place to go as long as they’re older than six months.

Ming the Mong liked us enough to say we were one of the best bands he’d seen recently! Not bad for a trio of girls. You can even hear our music on our site. Cam on. Giz a shot. The very fine entertainment you refer to was called – and I’m sure this is the incorrect spelling – Fuhreastern. They were a bunch of Japanese guys sitting around a table adorned with various Casio keyboards and the odd guitar effects pedal playing along to obscure Super 8 films. Possibly one of the finest acts to ever grace the B&G; stage. They had one 7" single released on Che records that is one of my favourite bits of black plastic.
Their last show, that I am aware of, was at the B&G; supporting Dream City. Soon after I think they went back to Japan, never to be heard of again.
Ming the Mong, I beseech you, seek out these veritable kings of Casio and get them back at B&G; – whatever the cost! If you can take on Flash Gordon, then this should be a simple task.

What’s a psylo anyway? I suppose you could keep grain in it, or at best some short (or even long range) nuclear missiles.
Anyway, the most honourable Mr Mong and myself were just having a very pleasant correspondence, before the most uncouth Mr Anon interrupted. If this was a few years back a good dose of Casio goodness would mellow you out, or failing that a night with Headbutt knocking out the noise-grooves at 200db.
Mr Mong, perhaps we should take our pleasant discourse elsewhere to another thread if we are going to be prone to such outbursts getting in the way of our enjoyment.
