Inter Milan 1 Arsenal 5, how the fuck did that happen!
Freak result, freak on the stage. There’s a mean looking bloke in tracky bottoms with a CD Walkman gaffa taped to his chest hovering like a Judo contestant does when sizing up the oppo.
"This is my artificial heart" he booms ramming the mic into his chest. The room fills with a wash of white noise and thumping beats. Thirty minutes of intense industrial sounds blaze across the hall. He clings on occasions to an unsteady looking rack of keyboards, Dr Who like trying to control his Tardis with no idea where he’ll end up. Throbbing Gristle shakes hands with Mark Stewart & The Mafia somewhere in space.
Shaken and stirred I retreat for a beer, mental scars intact.
The new TV moniter in the back bar tells me that tonights second act has taken to the stage.
Um, another solo techno lost soul.
"Oneday I’d like to buy Cambridge and put it in my shoe" What more can you say. I’d love to stick my home town in one of my stinkin’ runners given the chance. Disjointed bleeps, squelches, organ grindings and thumps are the backdrop for a bucket full of hilarious and at times stark observations. Ever wondered what Beck would sound like after a decade in solitary and a jar of acid? Then you really should check out Um.
Hollywood Diner are tonights final offering and pummel us for a good half hour with some pretty fine garage punk rock. Leather, hair spray, Elvis stances, they’ve got the ingrediants, they use them well.

It has been posted on our web-site and the credits to yourself; you can check it out on www.hollywood-diner.com .And also a big thank you for the fantastic crowd we had especially for a tuesday night we all had a great time, And if anyone would like to check us out again we have a gig in the verge kentish town on the 17th january flyers will be on the web-site soon.
