just wanted to say thanks for last night, i really enjoyed myself and the other bands(generally a suprise… but it was good and i’m loving the nothings cd :))
but i’d also like to apologise to people about certain people we’d brought with us, behaving in a disrespectful way. we thought we could trust them, but obviously not. So we have now blacklisted them, and won’t EVER be comming to a gig that we put a coach on for(personally, i think they only used it as a cheap way to get pissed..) i REALLY hope it doesn’t reflect badly on the band. i just hate it when a few ruin it for the many. hope to see some of the faces from last night again.

Oi oi,
I should add that New Jacuzzi also had a splendid time and it was refreshing to play alongside talented acts. As for the people who came to see the Psirens, you brought some very appreciative people with you too. There were a couple of people talking very loud over our quiet bits, but I can’t be sure that they had anything to do with you guys. Besides, I brought my dad with me who I understand ranted at you about the jon spencer blues explosion for a time. I apologise sincerely.

you guys were fucking great.(got me all chilled and calm before our set… probably explains how i managed to stay vertical for more than 2minutes… i thank you for that) i think our synth player got a cd off one of you… so i’ll try and pinch it and give it a listen 🙂
yeah, the people with us were talking during your quiet bits. i ‘had’ words with them about that.
i’m just hoping this won’t affect any chance of a rebooking, cos i adored the venue. and the sound was superb….

People are welcome to talk whenever they like at the Bull & Gate. The acts are there to be appreciated, shot at etc… people pay their money and are entitled to then act the way they want to once inside, obviously within reason!
Such things would never effect future bookings.
A pool cue over someones head might, but not a bit of untimely babble during someones quiet bits.

That’s true enough I suppose. I just guess that if I had paid to get into a show, I’d appreciate that everyone else had as well. Anyway, after a while someone or other told them to shut up and they did so all’s well.
And yeah, the sound was real good. Nice to play somewhere with a big PA and a good sound technician. We’ll play there again if they’ll have us.

Thing is, though, that BnG benefits from having *TWO* rooms on the Backroom Music side, unlike many venues of supposedly comparable level. Thus, people who just want to socialise and people who want to concentrate on the music shouldn’t need to conflict at all. It’s a matter of common sense, really.

On behalf of the Nothing I’d like to say that there was no hard feelings on our part directed to you with regards to those two little noisy ginger boys. The Psirens can’t really be held responsible their behaviour and it certainly didn’t spoil 3 sets that I really enjoyed.
Don’t give them too much of a hard time, ginges have to put up with a lot in their lives that’s why they’re so bitter. Firstly they never get to speak to girls (except my girlfriend who rather easily beat one of them up), and people keep coming up to them saying stuff like: "hey….does Boris Becker know you’ve got his eyelashes?"….one thing though…..if they avoided wearing caps then people would stop approaching for autographs mistaking them for the Krankies…..:-)
Take care Matt, CD you gave me was cool by the way, don’t know if Adam is still sending me your other EPs but I’ll get my arse down to the Rock Box if not and try and pick up a copy.

if you’re lucky you’ll find a copy of the 1st ep in the rock box(i think there is one copy left) it’s before my time, i joined just after it was recorded and everything got shifted round. but it’s got some nice lil’ songs on.
i apologise for being mean to ginger people, i know it’s not there fault… just had to put blame somewhere, and he was an easy target 😉
