I loved it, it was the best, i got sum really kool photos and made my own tshirt! Nice one hope 2 c Aorta on stage in the future!

Sunday nite where they played at The Bull & Gate (there first gig) was wicked. The band is made up of Alex-singer, Sid-bass, kris-drummer and the two guitarist-milles and Rob. There were two other bands but they were only warming up the stage for Aorta.
Between when one band got there drum kit off to the time when Aorta got there drum kit on the room was empty, then all of a sudden the drummer (kris) started the intro, i looked round and the room was filled with people, i couldnt see the back doors.
The atmosphere in the room was getting ready for the band to start playing, they started they were so gd, after the first song most people start cheering they when on, ppl started taking photos and jumping about they were really enjoying it.
After the fourth song (i think) the drummer took off his top coz he was so hot, there was twice as many pictures being taken then!
I cant really decide who the band sounded more like it was a mix of Metallica/perfect circle/nirvana(sorry hope u aint offened)
When Aorta finished there set the lights came up and people started to leave the family and friends of Aorta came to the front and started Congratulating them.That night i was on a high they were one of the top bands i ave seen for ages.I took some pictures of the night some members of the crowd were supportive some made there own t-shirts! This is a band to look out for!

sorry if this seems biased in anyway, but the truth is i love aorta! and sam kris took his top off after the first song!
I was unsure what to expect when i arrived in kentish town for the gig i was therefore pleasantly surprised to find that the bull and gate venue was a small intimate back room to a nicely priced pub!! (if they don’t mind being described as that anyway)
As for the bands:-
The Blunts seemed to have their own small following but didn’t really appeal to me and seemed to drag on and on.
String Theory appealed to me more and seemed to be very good at what they do, unfortunatley having listened to the cd a few million times (cos it really /is/ that good) they sound better on record than live but i’d definately like to see them again sometime maybe.
(Now for my favourite bit)
Aorta had the place packed out left to right back to front (well almost) but it was well worth the wait as they started up the first song and from the first chord to the last thundering bass boom they seemed to physically glow with enthusiasm and excitement, truly one of the best gigs i have been to, why they could be bigger than metallica – maybe!(:p)

Good gig you guys!
You know what, I’ve known a lot of bands over the years, and they all believe their gonna make it, but you guys really do have something, even if its only the groupies! Well you’re got one foot in the right direction, and with a first gig like that it won’t be long for the other foot to follow. If I can call it a first gig as three members of the band have played together before. But with a new name, and two new band members, its a bloody good fresh start! Well, the media is looking for a real band as there’s a shortage right now, so all you muso’s, watch this space! You might even get lucky with a groupie……

its very hard not to notice when someone screams i knew it in your ear and points to a semi naked person and the immediately dashes right in front of where you’re trying to be to get to his friends!!!!
