Message: Hi chaps,
Myself and our drummer both received £50 fines for unloading when we last played the Bull & Gate and felt a great deal of injustice – enough to take on Camden Council and get the Councillors involved.
Of course, we lost.
As the bands don’t begin to get paid until they have brought 19 people that’s a lot of paying punters if unloading fines are also to be covered.
I really think the Bull & Gate are now going to have to arrange unloading areas for bands.
We love playing at the venue but are now worried about committing to any future gigs in case we pick up fines again.
We know it’s not the promoter’s responsibility but is the pub owner aware of the extent of the problem ?
Any suggestions ?

Message: I will show this to the Landlord tonight and get you his response tomorrow.
Bands should use the parking at the side of the Forum before 7pm, it’s about 50 yards from the venue.
To date these fines are the only we’ve been told about.
Anyone else please let us know if you’ve had similar problems.
We’ll post more details on this subject/parking guide on this site somewhere tomorrow.
