MORE SARF LONDON GIGS TO BE ANNOUNCED V SOON. 

Thanks to the bands and gig goers who’ve helped make our first two nights at this new venue so special. On Friday 14th September I’Ludicrous, Probing Cranks and Sucker played to a packed house. Sucker were up first and complete with special guest celebrity TV comic and radio presenter on occasional keyboards got things off to a memorable start. This was an experimental night of drum machines, comic genius and garage guitars. We aim to make these gigs as experimental and eclectic as possible. We hope there will be something for everyone. If you don’t like what you hear you can take your beer to the far end of the pub and schmooze with the stuffed Zebras for a while until you do.

On Friday 5th October ‘Frock Rockers’ Gertrude wooed another sizeable audience. With emergency stand in bass player Hilde (ex Tiny Too) they even had the stuffed moose heads nodding gamely in approval at their glittering performance. Winter Brief flew in from the US to play a scorching set of (as Alan Partridge might say) ‘Electo Rock’. They were preceded by Scintilla who paved the way with a blistering set of power punk pop. Its been a cracking start, so long may it continue. Acts wanting to play The Monty should send demos c/o The Bull & Gate with a covering note. The next gig is on Friday 26th and will feature the wonderfully warped JUB Noise. It’s going to be the most experimental yet, dark and twisted techno dance will be sending monumental shudders through the New Cross night air, don’t miss.
