Message: Hello Ming guess who’s back… 🙂
snoo. how do u no zyllah? im best mates with them guys…. thats amazing
Ming The Mong you’ve really got a bad outlook on christians… to me it sounds like your saying that christian band just use quotes for the bible as lyrics? most of the christian bands i listen to (zyllah, cains mark, last hours of torment, brutal fight) dont. yer they do praise god but its not in your face. even so if they do u havent got to listen to what they say. just ignore it a listen to the cool music (if u like it).
singing bout god/jesus isn’t gunna do ne harm to ne1 where as sing bout depressing thing (papa roach) and the devil (Marilyn Manson) r no good for you. how many people have you read about killing poeple or them selfs listening to christian bands (man ive really lined myself up here)… dont even bother replying saying "they r good 4 u" coz ur wrong and u’r not going to change my mind…
check out zyllah they are amazing and there new demo is well brutal… ( www.zyllah.com )

Message: haven’t been on for a bit BUT I’m back now! (thanks to Stu)
I saw Zyllah at skankfest in Stourbridge a few months ago…they were amazing!
I agree that about religion killing whatever it was my mind has gone blank and it’s on a different page – argh! but I think that many "normal" Christians are better than people who devote their life to their faith, like say priests and nuns! I recon they must all be sat there thinking "why did I choose this?" They are doing little for the faith on a whole and if they were functioning within society as a general good person they could be doing so much more!
People who stand on street corners quite often don’t make people think anything other than "grr" but I know of some groups who go around promoting how fun being a Chritian can be!
I’ve never had the privaledge of a decent youth group or even young peoples meeting but if you go to a Christian festival like greenbelt or grassrootz you can see so many different styles of Chrisitna music and see how nice and quite often original the people there are you can see why they are doing it! I’ve completely lost my point now…sorry =/

Message: My personal viewpoint on all this is that Snoo is right, but rambling. She also has a delicious creamy filling, like a small and enjoyable chocolate eclair. That’s a metaphor, by the way.
But I digress. Clearly if you don’t like the lyrics to a song don’t listen to it. That’s why I don’t listen to Marylin Manson and all, because I find it offensive (also, I think his music’s crap). So you don’t have to listen to a song if you think it’s pushing someone else’s opinion or viewpoint on you. It’s just that most Christian bands don’t do that. Which is good and makes them accessable to all but the staunch ‘down with Religion’ people.
Look at me, now I’m rambing!

Message: thanks for telling the world about my delicious creamy metaphorical filling! But yeah, lyrics are important! Like "feel it" (crappy example but anyway) the original version by those Jackson people had semi decent lyrics (from what I can remember, it’s been a while since I heard it) but when Mya did a cover singing about chimnys on peoples heads…eh? it makes the song stupid and people won’t listen to stupid songs!

Message: The Lord moves in mysterious ways, apparently. So does David Copperfield. I’ve seen him on the telly.
For the record, I don’t like Marilyn Mansons music.
I don’t like songs of praise either.
Bad outlook on Christians Boonstick, what makes you say that?

Message: songs of praise is the major thing that gets in the way of decent christian music…last year they covered greenbelt and all they did was show the typical quoir (sp?) thing…
they really need to wake up and smell the cheese…IT’S ALL SO MUCH BETTER THAN THAT! we should hijack SOP and make the world wake up to the decentness that is Christian music! it just sucks that cephas are splitting up 🙁 www.christianpunks.co.uk

Message: And I always thought Jesus was a bloody hippy! WRONG!!! He was a mean punk rock dude covered in tatts with a shed load of piercings.
How could I have been so fucking stupid?
Could it be that christianpunks (oh what the hell, let’s just call them cunks) need to justify listening to the latest buzz-geetar racket by pretending it has some godly purpose.
Could it be that Sid and Joe are spinning so fast that they will bore holes into the centre of the earth. Armaggeddon is nigh, kids, and it’ll be all your fault. God will not be happy, he spent a lot of time on this project (allegedly).
And what’s all this worhip shit about anyway? Can’t we just be nice to each other and leave the big G alone to do whatever s/he does best.

Message: You don’t leave the big G along cos that’s not what he wants. He wants a big GROUP HUG with EVERYBODY! Well, yes.
Anyway, You don’t pretend that Christian rock/punk music has a Godly purpose. It DOES have a Godly purpose, it’s called worship. OK?

Bloody God groupies! Have you any idea what it is like to be everywhere at the same time always surrounded by people telling you how great you are. It’d make anyone prone to a few fuck-ups.
And if you could keep the music down after midnight he’d really appreciate it.
Christian Death Metal – now that’s an idea.

Message: Worship? isnt that morally wrong and against all the values we are preached from the christian faith about being a humble/good person? Double standards from above! The christian faith has more holes in it than Saddam Hussains brothers! and as for being a punk, Jesus would have been classed as a total Muppet.
Sorry ladies.

Message: Lovely people,
Double standards? Humility? God has that by the bucket load. It is often said that he sent his only son to save us, but that can sound a bit odd. It’s more like God sent a part of himself to die for us. At least, that’s what Christians believe. If you don’t, okay. But don’t call Jesus a muppet.

Message: Nooooooooo
I was just saying that it’s a bit misleading to say that God ‘sent’ his only son to suffer and die, because that sounds selfish. BUT Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit are one and the same. Holy Trinity and all.

Message: I like The Muppets, please don’t kill them.
So let me see if I’ve got this straight. The big man upstairs sends down Kermit, Gonzo and that Swedish chef guy and then has them meet an untimely and grisly death nailed to a couple of huge planks of wood.
Personally, I’d say that really isn’t cricket and I don’t even like cricket.
