The first is at the Thurrock music festival on the 4th of August. This event is for charity and has 7 stages featuring rock,metal,indie,uk garage,worldwide dance,blues and poetry. We are playing on the metal/heavy rock stage at the top end(all but one) of the bill. Loads more info on the festival can be found out at http://www.thurrockmusicfestival.com ……. 16th August we play at the Castlemayne, Basildon, Essex, where support will be from “Nothing” who have reformed with new members…we have heard them at the rehearsal and they are back!…… Whoremoan has also had some interest from Simply Mental promotions. We are now on the ‘Street Team’ which means that they will be promoting the name of whoremoan around the country on websites etc and doing flyers that sort of stuff. Disembowel are the product, this splinter group completely saturates Cause For Concern, putting everything that was wrong about Cause For Concern, right. Fuller, more structured songs, heavier riffs, more profanity, and with Kris on Vocals, Rochelle on bass, Dave on drums and myself on guitar. Shit will indeed be ripped up. Influences stem from bands such as BDF, Stampin’ Ground, Special Move, Unite, Slayer, and of course Cephalic Carnage. Keep your eyes open, disembowel is here, waiting to pack out venues and deliver a live performance like noone else. Respect it.

Wrote… I would just like to say that Andrew Taplin and his Sleav cronies are a very pathetic bunch of human beings who are clearly jealous of Miss Bromley’s relative success. Firstly, we freely admit that we are not the most musically tight band in the world by any stretch of the imagination. Yet we do provide engaging and original music which lots of people seem to quite like. Our gig has got nothing to do with you or your band so stay out of it. If people will come and see us, then what is the problem? When you finally stop playing covers (about three years now in Avid P and Sleav?) you might even get a gig somewhere – until then go back to your Linkin Park tablature books where you belong. Wrote… Just thought I’d give the cartel a few words of information about “Sleav” and “Miss Bromley”. Firstly, Miss Bromley are a brave young band from my local area, made entirely of largely inexperienced musicians, creating an original, if slightly shabby sound. Their songs are witty, engaging and enjoyable. Their singer is classically trained and has a superb voice and their lead guitarist is one of the most original songwriters I have ever heard. Secondly Sleav are a disastrous attempt at musical achievement, the band comprising several unoriginal, boozy and arrogant louts who listen to brat-rock (and enjoy it) and a drummer. They are rude, immature and unaccomplished and do not deserve to play any venue, even one they have hired themselves. Do your worst, Sleav.

Wrote… To Andy: Just one of those unfortunate things that can happen sometimes I guess… misunderstandings etc. Felt sorry for B&G; too, not just the bands, cos of course noone wanted that to happen. I wasnt trying to say anything else (than it was just a shame). In total it was a good night anyway. My ppl from Trajectors did fine and the rest of the bands, that I saw, too. So all is ok. The guy that did do the sound in the end really did a good job considering. And everything worked out so I think everyone there had a good time after all. And you ppl from B&G; were really nice afterwards. No worries!!
